Job DescriptionAs a TruGreen Field Sales Agent, you'll be the friendly face homeowners meet in their neighborhoods, showcasing the advantages of personalized lawn care solutions. With a passion for customer service and a commitment to our proven Sales Playbook, you'll provide tailored services directly at their doorsteps, transforming casual conversations into lasting customer relationships.
What You'll Do - Your role is to represent TruGreen, engaging with homeowners face-to-face to understand their unique needs and delivering custom lawn care solutions that build trust and satisfaction. Each day presents an opportunity to connect, educate, and earn their business.
Engage with new and existing customers through door-to-door outreach, delivering professionalism and enthusiasm.
Tailor sales messaging to align with the specific lawn care needs of each household, recognizing that every yard (and customer) is different.
Convert inquiries into sales by applying proven sales methods and processes.
Document interactions and monitor performance using a CRM to track activity and success, as numbers matter, and follow-through is key.
Utilize your expertise for precision in cross-selling and upselling, showing customers how to enhance their lawns.
What You'll Bring - You don't need gardening expertise to excel here; just the drive to succeed and the interpersonal skills to ensure every interaction feels like a warm lead.
High school diploma or GED required (a PhD in People Skills is highly encouraged).
Previous sales or customer service experience is beneficial, but a passion for success is the real game-changer.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record—reliability is essential.
Strong communication skills, facilitating engaging interactions whether casual or during sales pitches.
Excellent time management and a self-starter attitude, as you won't be told when to go.
Comfortable navigating technology and mobile devices (no coding required, just basic operation).
Physically capable of walking, standing, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds while working outdoors.
Perks & Benefits - We believe that outstanding work deserves exceptional rewards, beyond just well-maintained lawns.
Competitive base pay plus uncapped commissions; your earning potential increases with each sale (and each happy homeowner).
Average income ranges from $875 to $1,200/week, based on annual salary and earned commissions for qualifying representatives.
Paid training and ongoing professional development; we don't just onboard, we invest in your growth. You'll receive tools and coaching to succeed quickly.
Opportunities for career advancement; hard work doesn't go unnoticed, and high performance can lead to long-term career growth.
Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and more. We support our employees just as you support our customers.
A supportive team culture where teamwork is celebrated, hard work is recognized, and Monday mornings aren't daunting.
Outdoor office benefits: say goodbye to fluorescent lights; enjoy fresh air, sunshine, and views of lush lawns.
