Industrial Electrician

Join our dynamic Maintenance team as an Entry-Level Industrial Electrician! This position offers a thrilling and diverse opportunity to engage in various electrical tasks, from repairs to installations. As part of our team, you will contribute to the upkeep and optimization of our electrical systems and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular electrical and electronic preventative maintenance on mill equipment.
• Repair, modify, and maintain a wide range of electrical and electronic devices.
• Complete tasks such as wiring circuits, replacing components, and troubleshooting electronic systems.
• Utilize various instruments, including multi-meters and Meggers, for testing and diagnostics.
• Stay updated with technological advancements by attending training sessions.
• Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain compliance with safety training, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and arithmetic.
• Foundational understanding of electrical principles.
• Knowledge of 3-phase and single-phase power distribution systems, motor controls, wiring, and troubleshooting skills are essential.
• Experience with 480-volt power and associated logic circuits is preferred.
• Strong analytical, computer, math, and planning capabilities.
• Ability to interpret and follow electrical schematics without supervision.
• Familiarity with machine control systems.
• Willingness to troubleshoot complex machinery control systems.
• Capability to identify features and functionalities of controllers.
• Willing and able to work flexible schedules, including emergency call-ins.
• Ability to collaborate as part of a team, providing value and support.
• Commitment to consistent and reliable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and their applications for troubleshooting.
