PURPOSE: To coordinate the hiring needs for the plant, manage the recruiting to onboarding process, identify candidates of the appropriate level, and orient them to SC Steel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruiting
Work with the plant manager to create and maintain staffing plans
Maintain the open positions listings for the plant
Source candidates for open positions in the structural plant
Manage the relationships with Staffing Agencies (identify agencies with expertise in our industry, evaluate performance of agencies, and provide feedback)
Manage the candidate funnel for each of the open positions
Interact with candidates to assess capabilities and schedule interviews
Create and communicate offers to employees and schedule for orientation
Manage the onboarding process, including pre-employment assessments, candidate status updates, and orientation
Manage all candidate communication
Minimize length of time to move from application to final disposition
Minimize the time from identification of need to fulfillment
Streamline the recruiting process and make a smooth transition during on-boarding
Other Duties - as assigned
Assist the Human Resources manager as directed.
SC Steel reserves the right to assign the employee additional task and responsibilities as needed.
EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION & TRAINING:
Bachelors degree in human resources or related field
5 or more years of recruiting and/or human resources experience (recruiting preferred)
The ability to thrive in a fast paced, fluid environment
Tenacious sense of urgency and an ability to connect and talk with people in an efficient manner
DESIRED TRAITS:
Working knowledge of computers and computer software, including Microsoft Office applications
Possess teaching and training skills to perform one-on-one and group training.
Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred
