Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Fiber Installation and Repair Technician, where you'll play a key role in managing service order and repair activities on our fiber network. Your focus will be on ensuring seamless installation and maintenance of services from the customer-serving terminal into the customer's premises, as well as working in the fiber hub to enhance our offerings.

General Duties

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Installing, removing, rearranging, programming, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining fiber network services.
2. Installing and configuring routers and set-top boxes, while assisting with PC software installation and ensuring customer PC configurations are correct.
3. Maintaining and repairing both outside and inside fiber equipment, including installing wiring and fiber jumpers at the distribution hub and activating the ONT.
4. Interacting with customers to assist with equipment placement, account registration, email setup, web access, and training them on their new equipment, ensuring their satisfaction throughout.
5. Interpreting schematic work order drawings to determine installation specifications and obtaining necessary equipment; applying problem-solving skills as needed.
6. Utilizing various test equipment to analyze equipment issues and performing appropriate maintenance actions.
7. Occasionally performing duties of the Customer Service Technician II classification as required.
8. Taking on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Company.

Equipment Requirements

• A truck, van, or SUV capable of carrying a 28ft extension ladder.
• A detailed list of necessary tools will be provided.
