Position Summary

The Power Manager - Field Technician will play a vital role in the installation, removal, inspection, and service of Direct Load Control (DLC) devices, ensuring compliance with our high standards while prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction. This position primarily serves the residential market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, modify, and service DLC devices as required.
  • Understand basic HVAC systems and electrical/electronic principles.
  • Meet customer specifications and uphold organizational quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve operations continually.
  • Occasionally travel for weekend job site work to meet customer needs.
  • Participate in an On-Call Rotation for after-hours service calls.
  • Conduct inventory and maintain organization of warehouse and fleet vehicle areas.
  • Ensure all fleet vehicles are equipped and maintained properly.

Position Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in areas such as wiring, lighting, HVAC, and troubleshooting in residential/commercial settings preferred.
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude necessary.
  • Basic knowledge of construction and building science preferred.
  • Experience in installing technologies and manual labor is an asset.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, and manuals.
  • Ability to manage diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with effective workload prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong data entry and analytical skills to solve practical problems.
  • Knowledge of math concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Reliable transportation is a must.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license required.

Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 95% is necessary.
