Intermediate Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

Description:

We're seeking an enthusiastic Instrumentation and Controls Engineer who is passionate about working on cutting-edge projects that energize our clients' businesses. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to designing and optimizing control systems for state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities.

Your role will involve overseeing the schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks, ensuring alignment with client expectations, project scope, budget, and timeline. You will provide on-site support during startup phases, and coordinate activities with your team and discipline leads.

As part of our collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, you will design and enhance control systems while working closely with architects, engineers, and designers. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing P&IDs and sizing valves.
  • Specifying instrumentation and documenting design information.
  • Ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
  • Generating control system designs and optimizing process control, instrumentation, and automation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Instrumentation and Control.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS, and related controls applications.
  • Experience with Data Centers.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Displayed eagerness to learn and innovate.
  • Able to collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • A genuine passion for buildings and construction.
