Job Description:

****The Mortgage Loan Closer is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and ensuring the accuracy of closing documents for residential and/or commercial mortgage loans. This role works closely with loan officers, processors, underwriters, and attorneys to coordinate and facilitate the timely and accurate closing of mortgage transactions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Review loan documents and ensure compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines.
• Prepare closing packages including Closing Disclosures (CDs), promissory notes, deeds of trust, and other related documents.
• Coordinate loan closings with attorneys.
• Ensure that all loan conditions are satisfied prior to funding.
• Communicate with borrowers, processors, underwriters, and external parties to resolve issues and answer questions.
• Verify that fees and charges are accurate and match the Loan Estimate (LE) and final CD.
• Confirm wire instructions and arrange for disbursement of loan funds.
• Review signed closing documents for accuracy and completeness before loan funding.
• Stay updated on current mortgage regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business or finance preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in mortgage loan closing or a related field.
• Strong understanding of mortgage documentation, compliance regulations, and TRID guidelines.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in loan origination systems (e.g., Encompass) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with FHA, VA, USDA, and conventional loans.
