Plumbing Journeyman
Location: Mogadishu
Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Journeyman to support construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in support of U.S. Government facilities overseas. This role requires a certified, experienced tradesperson capable of performing work with minimal supervision while meeting U.S. Department of Defense standards.
Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
• Minimum two (2) years of related plumbing experience
• Journeyman Plumber Certification (required)
• bility to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be eligible for a Common Access Card (CAC)
• Must possess a valid U.S. Passport

• Read and interpret building plans and working drawings to determine materials, tools, and installation sequence
• Inspect structures to identify obstructions and ensure installations do not weaken building integrity
• Measure, mark, and cut openings in walls and floors for piping and fittings
• Cut, thread, and bend pipe using hand and power tools, pipe cutters, and threading machines
• ssemble, install, and connect piping systems made of metal and non-metal materials including steel, brass, copper, plastic, and vitrified clay
• Install valves, fittings, fixtures, and plumbing components
• Join pipes using screws, bolts, soldering, solvent welding, and caulking
• Test piping systems with air or water pressure to detect leaks
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, dishwashers, garbage disposals, and water softeners
• Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including replacing washers, repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and repairing burst pipes
• Input maintenance data into Automated Information Systems (AIS) as required
• Perform all work in compliance with applicable Army Regulations (ARs), Technical Manuals (TMs), Department of Defense Uniformed Facilities Criteria (UFC), and manufacturer guidelines
