POSITION SUMMARY:
Document control employees coordinate records management, verify and maintain information, improve document control practices and maintain information systems to meet record control requirements. The document control technician position collects, develops and maintains comprehensive filing systems and computer database entry for all documents related to specific assigned projects. They must be able to manage the operation of the document control center software to ensure that all project stakeholders have access to the current project documents and drawings. The role of Document Controller is critical in the support of technical teams, departments and projects in the filing and storing of project related documentation. Documentation may be of a confidential or sensitive nature and may need to be stored in line with company and industry guidelines. Document Controllers also assist in creation of documents and must have above average sills in the Microsoft Office Suite of software
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides project administrative and coordination support with established project delivery processes ensuring the orderly, efficient, and timely completion of the project scope, in accordance with requirements specified in the contract documents
Arranges and attends program/project status meetings
Supports project design and Project Managers and other program staff in administrative tasks
Assists in the collection/distribution of data, communications, coordination of meetings and materials, tracking various information or preparation of reports associated with a project
Coordinates updating, access and maintenance of project databases
Coordinates production and delivery of project deliverables, drawings, specifications, and other documents
Control and edit documents and other related items for appropriate distribution
Ensure all documentation provided is as per Client quality formatting requirements. Formatting may include correcting templates, redlines, fonts and style, pagination and numbering and other activities that may be required to achieve a client's documentation requirements
Ad hoc duties as required to assist the project team and other duties as assigned
