Summary

We are searching for professionals in Latin America to work online as virtual team-members for the clients of Elite Virtual Desk, a start-up based in Florida, USA.

Are you a good fit?

Our typical profile of a member of our team will be a bilingual university graduate or soon-to-graduate student. They are comfortable with writing and speaking in English and other languages such as Portuguese, Italian, French, German, Chinese, etc. They are smart, maybe not with a lot of technical experience, but definitely with heaps of common sense and the ability to learn fast. They will be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft programs, Google tools, and communications apps.

They will also have their own PC (laptop preferred) and smartphone, and a stable internet connection and a quiet place to work uninterrupted at their home or place designed to work. They also have a backup place they can easily get to should there be a power cut or internet failure in their zone.

Working virtually or from a home office is not for everyone. A lot of people need an office environment to work productively, but if you can work independently with minimum supervision, being home-based with flexible hours and no direct boss can be really satisfying.

Communication
Our clients are not in the same room, they are on the other side of the world. Regular and clear communication is vital; you always need to be available to answer client's messages.

Punctuality
We require our team members to show high levels of punctuality. One cannot be late, miss virtual meetings, or fail to deliver on pre-agreed deadlines.

Reliability
How many days did you call in sick last year? How many times did you cancel a meeting with your friends at the last minute? How many uni/work deadlines did you miss? If the answer to the above questions is zero, you are in the right place.

Honesty
Sometimes the time you spend on tasks is hard to measure and you could get away with doing less. We want the type of person that this doesn't matter to because they work hard even when no-one is watching.

What are the jobs vacancies we're looking professionals for?

There are several types of jobs that can be done online or in a virtual environment, some to mention are:

Administration/Secretarial/Assistants:
Doing all types of online work to help the client save time. There are hundreds of tasks involved but some common examples are:

• Helping with client to-do list
• Online research
• Datamining
• Bookkeeping
• Managing their calendar
• Managing their email inbox
• Providing reminders
• Making travel/flight research and reservations
• Simple accounting
• Managing their CRM
• Making presentations and documents
• Managing their online amazon or Shopify store

Customer Service / Sales:
Using Skype, Zoom, Google Meet, WhatsApp or a VoIP (internet phone). This includes phone-based tasks such as:

• Inbound customer service (answering client queries and solving problems)

Working as a CM (community manager) / Graphic designer helping with all respects of social media and online presence and design:

• Working with online accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Youtube, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, Shopify, Amazon, online stores, etc.)
• Creating, scheduling and posting content
• Interacting with followers/customers comments and reviews
• Growing follower/fan numbers and getting email/newsletter subscribers
• Blogging and creating newsletters
• Managing online stores
• Designing graphics

Web Design:
Working on various platforms helping clients to manage their website, or creating websites from scratch:

• Creating landing pages or websites using Wordpress and other related CMS like Joomla, Magento, Opencast, Laravel, Wix, etc.
• Editing clients existing sites

What are the requirements?

• Work / Education experience: To have a profile that fits one of the different jobs types. Take for example the admin role. This could be work experience as an administrator, or as an executive assistant. For the graphic design and community manager roles, you would have studied graphic design or worked as a community manager / SMM.

• Language and culture: Someone bilingual for most roles, if you have lived or studied in the states or Europe or done language exchanges, it's a bonus.

• Internet: It's vital to have a reliable internet connection fast enough to hold a video call on Skype/Zoom without issues.

• Home Office: This needs to be a quiet place where you can work without being distracted by loud traffic, barking dogs and family members.
