Job Details

Daily sorts and cleans soiled linens and Resident Residents clothes using the washing equipment, loads the clean linens/clothes into the dryer and then folds and stacks the clean linens and clothes into appropriate groupings to be distributed back to the Residents or storage areas.

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable in general cleaning techniques for clothing and linens and the proper uses of certain cleaning agents.
• Must be mindful at all times of proper techniques to be observed when dealing with soiled clothing and/or linens used by Residents having infectious/contagious conditions.

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
• Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
• Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
