Summary:
The Director, Operations and Contracting shall provide management and professional support across Ballad Health Medical Associates focusing on planning, performance management, operational efficiency, physician relations, policy management, risk management and organizational development. The Director will require knowledge of a vast array of medical group functions, including, but not limited to, strategic planning, finance, applicable laws and regulations, business development and operations. With the Ballad Health Medical Associates and facility executive management team, the Director will work to support the strategic plans, identify opportunities, and provide developmental training and support to the clinics.

The Director will analyze and recommend changes in policies and procedures and ensure implementation. This individual will provide assistance to senior management in development and implementing specific programs, products and services. The Director will serve as corporate compliance officer and risk manager for BHMA, as well as the business owner for Crimson Medical Group Advantage tool. The Director will coordinate the establishment of new practices and relocations. This individual will create structure and processes to manage the organization's current activities and projected growth. In addition, this individual will manage Hospital-Physician Alignment Committee process and participate in the coordination of management services provided to various clients, provider recruitment, physician employment, and development of compensation strategies as directed by the CEO/COO of BHMA. The Director will be responsible for onboarding new providers, including, but not limited to, coordinating hospital privileges, enrollment process for provider numbers, orientation to Ballad Medical Groups and initiating letters of intent to providers including compensation model.
The Director will work with the legal department to develop provider contracts and is responsible for ongoing contract management. This individual will work with CEO, COO, AVPs of Operations and facility leadership to identify areas of opportunity within the clinics. The Director will provide expertise and vision with respect to planning and establishing goals and objectives to improve clinic performance. This individual will also coordinate and oversee development of action plans for identified areas of opportunity. This individual will also provide support to CEO/COO for special projects. The Director will determine financial viability of identified opportunities and have oversight of process improvement efforts. In addition, the Director will assist CEO/COO with operating budget assumptions and work closely with CEO/COO to strive to meet strategic initiatives.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or other related field, Master's degree in business, public health, or equivalent preferred. Five years of solid operations experience required. Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills are essential to the position. The incumbent must possess the ability to relate to individuals and groups at all socioeconomic and education levels. The incumbent will be required to update technical, managerial and leadership skills through continuing education and active membership in appropriate professional organizations throughout tenure in this position.
