We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Program Manager to join our team to manage and lead Skylight Specialist Program. The primary purpose of this position is to develop, implement, and manage our Skylight Specialist program. This role is responsible for implementation, development and evolution of the Specialist channel, which includes national recruitment activities, functioning as the lead with marketing programs, and a lead for the sales team on program elements, including dotted line management of business development managers.
In conjunction, this role will work as collaborative partner with the Pro Partner Academy team in development of additional curriculum to support academy development, many of which will be relevant with the specialist channel. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with a passion for business development, training, and operational excellence. This position will report directly to the Director - Installer Engagement.
Primary Functions:
- Develop, execute and coordinate national strategies to recruit and grow our network of Skylight Specialists.
- Develop recruitment approach that broadens our program outside of traditional paths.
- Support business development managers and field sales team in their efforts to increase skylight specialist base and increase sales volume.
- Develop and monitor metrics on skylight specialist programs, both internal growth as well as success metrics established to measure skylight specialists' performance.
- Lead all skylight specialist installer program elements to improve, develop and advance with a central focus on sales volume growth.
- Business development and strategic growth to support skylight specialist businesses with tailored strategies for success.
- Build strong connections between skylight specialists and VELUX at a national level to foster long-term partnerships.
- Evaluate national partnerships to further the program through installation support and lead avenues.
- Ensure requirements of programs are being met by specialists.
- Support and ensure regular cadence of specialist trainings are scheduled nationally, and full processes for vetting and onboarding specialists is followed.
- Work closely with internal departments as it relates to all aspects of the program: Sales, marketing, legal, operations, accounting, etc. Serves as a direct partner with marketing & firms that support the specialist program.
- Perform effective and high-level presentations focused on a specialist business from a recruitment, onboarding or development standpoint.
- This position will require regular travel nationally. It can be expected that two to three trips per month will be required on average.
- Assist the Pro Partner Academy team in development of additional curriculum to support academy development, many of which will be relevant with the specialist channel.
Secondary Functions: - Monthly reporting on program development and sales.
- Additional projects related to the Skylight Specialist programs as directed.
Monthly Salary Range: $6,567.00 - $8,525.00 Compensation is based on the skills and experiences of the candidate.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree is required.
- One to five years of experience in Sales or Business Development preferred.
- Previous experience in strategic planning and budget management is preferred.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficient with key technology tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to accurately define a problem, recognize, secure and evaluate major facts, and develop sound recommendations.
- Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
- Must have the ability to remain open-minded and change opinions on the basis of new information and developments within the workplace.
- VELUX product knowledge as well as knowledge of the building materials industry is preferred.
- Must possess good organizational and planning skills.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of customer focus.
- Self-motivated and impactful presenter.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% as needed.
- Must present a positive and professional image.
- Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position.
