divh2Assistant Nutrition/h2pAssistant Nutrition is responsible for accurate, expeditious and courteous procession of inpatient food and nutrition needs. Including assisting patient tray line assembly, meal tray distribution, menu and snack selection, distribution, and correction./ppCashier function (secondary) Responsible for checking customers through the cash register and maintaining accurate money control. Ensures that customers are greeted and made to feel welcome in the cafeteria./ppMinimum Requirements/pulliHS Diploma/li/ulpPreferred Experience/pulli3 years experience/li/ulpPhysical Requirements/pulliFloor to Waist Lift (Occasionally) miscellaneous lifting of food product and trays/liliWaist to Overhead lift (Occasionally) shelf stocking/unstocking/liliGrip (Frequently) Miscellaneous stocking, food prep, push, pull, etc./liliElevated Work (Occasionally) Stock shelves/pantry/liliForward Bending in Sitting (Occasionally) menu prep/computer work/liliForward Bending in Stand (Frequently) with food stacking, stocking, prep/transfer, etc./liliAnterior Reach (Frequently) to prepare food trays/stock fridge/cabinets/liliKneel/Crouch (Occasionally) miscellaneous stocking/stacking/food retrieval/order filling/tray filling, etc./liliRepetitive Squat (Occasionally) putting up stock, filing. Emptying tray cart, etc./liliWalking (Continuously) most all job activities/liliStair Climbing (Occasionally) up/down stool, floor change, etc./li/ulpCore Job Responsibilities/pulliMust be able to provide and understand the specific communication needs of patients, families, and visitors as they pertain to diet, nutrition for, and improving patient outcomes./liliStock nourishments for units and bulk storage area assuring food safety and sanitation guidelines are maintained/liliResponsible for dishing area tasks according to standard practices and procedures, cleaning, delivering, setting up and other duties related to food services./liliParticipates in the performance improvement and quality assurance process of the department and hospital./liliResponsible for checking customers through the cash register and maintaining accurate money control/liliEnsures that the dining and counter areas are kept clean and neat at all times./liliResponsible for accurate opening and closing procedures of the cafeteria./liliPerform kitchen functions as needed per Food Service manager request/li/ul/div
