Job Description:

Johnson and Johnson is recruiting a Senior Specialist, Source-to-Contract, NA located in Tampa, FL, New Brunswick, Raritan or Titusville, NJ.

The Senior Specialist, Source-to-Contract, will ensure that the Regional GS (Global Services) Procurement Source-to-Contract organization delivers results in support of the Global Services, OneProcurement and Johnson & Johnson business strategy and objectives. The role works directly with the business, category leaders, Legal, and the broader function. Additionally, you contribute to and/or own the operational execution of prioritized category strategy implementations, sourcing and contracting cases, and other critical functional activities.

This role performs activities relating to the execution of the organization's strategic sourcing plan, from maintaining supplier relationships, driving competitive bid pricing, through contract drafting and negotiation, contract execution and contract management activities.

The Senior Specialist, Source-to-Contract, works to identify and address needs of internal stakeholders, contributes improvements to procurement strategies, remains abreast on current market trends; as well as maintain a strong awareness and understanding of applicable regulatory, legal and company policies and procedures as they relate to contract drafting and negotiation in the Johnson & Johnson NA Pharma Marketing space.

This is a seasoned individual contributor, who works independently with minimal supervision, and functions in partnership with a diverse group of internal and external business partners including the Law Department and various regulatory and compliance subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts the day-to-day operations of the Source-to-Contract function, including sourcing event management, price and other business/supplier related negotiations, contract drafting, negotiation and execution, and stakeholder management activities. Delivers against defined Service Levels and business plan commitment.
  • Management of the contract process, beginning with assigned contract request analysis through full execution and archiving, including interfacing with key business stakeholders (internal and external) for such activities as initial proposal discussion, healthcare compliance, and other communications necessary for the handling of low, medium and highly complex agreement types.
  • Conduct review of contract requests, gathering any additional required information, ensuring necessary approvals from key internal stakeholders are obtained, choosing and populating appropriate templates, driving supplier negotiations, managing redlines/contract draft versions, and engaging the appropriate support as needed. Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory, legal and company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with multiple departments in the development and execution of strategies and plans that improve the organizations profitability and competitive position, utilizing market intelligence, risk assessments, and total cost projections.
  • Drives continuous improvements in user experience, effectiveness, and efficiency in assigned area of responsibility.
  • Assess change needs, impacts, and stakeholder management activities and support change management integration activities
  • Supports development and implementation of new Efficient Buying Channels
  • Creates Value by developing strong, value-added working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers with a view to pro-actively understand and constructively influence their needs and expectations.

Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent University degree is required.
  • An MBA or further advanced degree is preferred.
Experience and Skills:

Required:
  • 4-6 years of Procurement, Finance, Legal or other pharmaceutical or life sciences relevant business experience.
  • Collaboration, Communication & Influencing Skills: Should be regarded as a constructive player representing Source-to-Contract and overall procurement in various teams within the company and outside. Should have the requisite communication skills to communicate & influence objectives and then develop collaborative relationships both internally and externally to achieve them.
  • Learning Agility & Openness to Change.
  • Fluency in English (written and oral) is required.
Preferred:
  • Good understanding of Requisition-to-pay and Source-to-settle processes and operations is preferred.
  • Experience in one or more Procurement Functional domains: Sourcing incl. negotiation of commercial and non-commercial terms, Category management, R2P or Accounts Payable.
  • Experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts. Knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical practices.
  • Possess a general knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical industry regulations and guidelines.
  • Shared Services Industry experience is preferred.
  • Fluency in one other language ((written and oral) for the supported region is preferred.
  • Requires up to 5% domestic travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$94,000.00 - $151,800.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation -120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado -48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington -56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave - 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave - 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave - 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off - 80 hours per calendar year
