divh2Bridge Inspection Team Leader/h2pWSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Bridge Inspection Team Leader!/ppThis position can sit out of our Mooresville, NC, Raleigh, NC, Greenville, SC or Columbia, SC offices./ph3This Opportunity/h3pThis position will support our robust and growing Bridge Inspection Practice in the Southeast Region! Be involved in projects and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients objectives and solves their challenges. This is an opportunity for a strong bridge inspection team leader to move into a role with solid advancement opportunities and a chance to grow a strong team supporting bridge inspection projects in the region./ppThe Team Leader shall use his/her education, licensure, and relevant work experience to perform independent and complete evaluation of the condition, function and load carrying capacity of bridges and their individual components. These evaluations may form the basis of recommendations to bridge owners for repair, rehabilitation, or replacement./ph3Your Impact/h3ulliPlan, schedule and perform bridge inspections in accordance with the requirements of specific Bridge Owners, but in all cases, in compliance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) and the AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation./liliUse engineering, technical knowledge, and perform field work inspecting bridges throughout the Southeast for deterioration and structural damage with the intent of keeping the public safe and our road systems in good working condition./liliGenerate complete, accurate, and concise bridge inspection reports using electronic systems, drawings, and field/work site notebook/logs./liliPerform engineering calculations on various bridge repair designs, bridge load ratings, and construction inspections/liliComply with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures to ensure work is completed in a correct manner./liliExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSPs Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures./li/ulh3Who You Are/h3h3Required Qualifications/h3ulliAssociates degree in a construction related discipline or relevant construction related job experience or Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline./lili3+ years of experience in bridge design and/or bridge inspection/liliNHI Course 130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges Certificate/liliProficient self-discipline with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment./liliCompetent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience./liliExperience with Microsoft Word and Excel./liliPhysically capable of performing field work including climbing ladders (40ft or less) and in close quarters, carrying ladders and gear, working in adverse weather conditions, etc./liliProficiency/Comfortable using hand and power tools./liliAbility to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek./liliOccasional travel/overnight travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements and project location./liliProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSPs health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies./liliThe selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately./li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications:/h3ulliEngineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification./liliAdditional FHWA/NHI Training - (130078) Bridge Inspection Techniques for Nonredundant Steel Tension Members (NSTM)/liliExperience with drafting software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)/liliExperience with engineering calculation software (AASHTOWare Bridge Rating (BrR), Mathcad, Sap2000, etc)./liliComfortable working at heights (40ft+) and interest in working on ropes (obtaining SPRAT Certification)./liliEnjoys getting out of the office, working outdoors, and seeing the world/liliExperience with Inspecting Complex Bridges/liliFAA Part 107 certification or interest in UAS Drone flying/liliFamiliarity with or certifications in various NDT techniques/liliInterest in Programming and/or experience with databases, data analytics, or APIs./li/ul/div
