Tester - Manufacturing

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform various tests and inspections on a variety of tools and accessories, including proper labeling, information on data plates, and proper torque.
  • Start, use manual or automated means, power equipment.
  • Place power equipment on a test station and make necessary adjustments to ensure performance and environmental standards are maintained.
  • Dispose of non-conforming material per established procedures.
  • Interpret and/or complete charts, schedules, reports, forms, and records.
  • Operate equipment safely and wear specified PPE such as earplugs, safety glasses, etc., as deemed necessary for the safety of the operator, coworkers, and facility.
  • Maintain equipment in clean and good working order, reporting equipment problems to the supervisor.
  • Strive for continual improvement in departmental processes and functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Prefer a High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 to 3 months of related experience or training.
  • PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Use of simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and fractions).

Physical Demands

  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Repetitive motion.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of parts and containers.
  • Frequent lifting up to 50lbs team lifts over 50lbs.
  • Able to work in various temperature conditions.

Internal Qualifications

  • No final warnings.
  • No more than six (6) attendance points.
  • Efficiency and Quality goals met for the previous 3 months.
  • Must be in current role for 6+ months.
  • Must meet all job description requirements.
