Job Title: Field Service Technician

Location: Cleveland, OH (Onsite first 6months potential hybrid after)

Salary Range:80,000- 90,000

Role Overview: Our Client, a leading provider of distribution, marketing, and logistics solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. This full-time position focuses on providing on-site technical support and ensuring the optimal performance of equipment within the steel industry. The ideal candidate will possess sufficient experience to minimize training needs and will excel in delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site technical support for equipment in steel industry environments.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues to ensure the efficient operation of equipment.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs as required.
  • Address and resolve client inquiries effectively and professionally.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Monitor and evaluate hardware-software interactions to optimize equipment functionality.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and make necessary wiring changes.
  • Work in compliance with safety regulations and standards in steel mill conditions.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Engineering or a related field is strongly prefered, with a strong emphasis on electronics and automation, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in measurement and control technologies, electronics, and software.
  • Proficient in evaluating hardware-software interactions.
  • Solid understanding of PLC systems and their applications.
  • Knowledgeable in mechanical and hydraulic functions.
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs and work in demanding steel mill environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, showcase a strong commitment to tasks, and make confident decisions.
