The Associate Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) supports day-to-day Human Resources operations and employee relations activities under the guidance of senior HR team members. This role serves as a foundational HR support to managersand employees while gaining exposure to workforce initiatives, organizational development, and compliance-driven HR practices. The Associate HRBP contributes to consistent application of HR policies, programs, and procedures to support organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide front-line HR support and guidance to managers and employees regarding company policies, procedures, and employee lifecycle events (e.g., onboarding, performance management, corrective action, and offboarding)
  • Partner with senior HR Business Partners on workforce initiatives, organizational projects, and change management efforts
  • Participate in meetings with business leaders as a learning partner to gain exposure to HRBP responsibilities and business operations
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including documentation preparation, policy interpretation, and workplace investigations under supervision
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries related to leave administration, performance expectations, workplace concerns, and HR processes
  • Identify and escalate complex or high-risk employee relations issues to senior HR team members as appropriate
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, review cycles, and documentation tracking
  • Assist in tracking employee development plans, training initiatives, and learning activities
  • Maintain accurate and timely employee records within HRIS and other HR systems
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Assist with HR audits, reporting, data tracking, and preparation of standard HR metrics
  • Other duties as assigned
Education / Training:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 1 - 2 years of HR experience
  • Basic understanding of HR principles and employment laws
Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
  • Working knowledge of HR policies, employee relations concepts, and basic employment law (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO)
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • HRIS experience preferred (Paycom)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset
