Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for financial accounting and external financial reporting systems
- Collaborate with software development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Usedata analysis tools within the Microsoft Azure stack to analyze and interpret complex datasets
- Write SQL queries for database querying and data manipulation
- Apply programming skills, particularly in Python, to support data processing and automation tasks
- Design and implement data warehousing and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
- Ensure that technical solutions meet business needs and align with the organization's strategic goals
- Provide ongoing support and enhancements to existing financial systems
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements, deliverables, and timelines
- Perform rigorous testing of software solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance
- Deliver high-quality documentation, including technical specifications, process flows, and user guides
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications: - Knowledge of data analysis tools in the Microsoft Azure stack, SQL for database querying, and programming languages like Python, Data warehousing and ETL design concepts
- Proven experience in financial accounting and external financial reporting; experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies
- Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure data analysis tools; advanced SQL skills for database querying
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
- Solid knowledge of data warehousing and ETL design concepts
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; familiarity with financial software applications and tools
- Prior experience in a similar role within a financial services or technology-driven company
- Role will be primarily remote w/limited travel for key meetings as needed (Most travel to ATL and Dallas)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
