Role Description:

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (PM) with an alternative delivery focus, to join our Resilience Water team in Southern California!

Role Accountabilities:

The Senior Project Manager will provide strategic support to project teams in managing stakeholders, processes, and outcomes to ensure the success of design build assignments for water related projects. This role is pivotal in driving excellence in project execution and fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders and could include alternative delivery execution or Owner's Agent services. Some local travel may be required to project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, construction oversight, conferences, etc.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Stakeholder Management:

    Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal project teams, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans, as needed, to ensure alignment with project goals and client expectations. Proactively identify and resolve conflicts, ensuring a cooperative and efficient working environment.
  • Project Process Management:

    Support project teams in planning, monitoring, and executing CD processes, including Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, and CMAR (Construction Manager at Risk). Establish clear workflows and deliverable timelines to ensure project milestones are achieved. Assist in developing risk management strategies and mitigation plans specific to CD assignments.
  • Contract Document (CD) Expertise:

    Provide technical and procedural guidance related to CD best practices, contract structures, and project delivery methods. Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and organizational standards throughout the project lifecycle. Lead lessons-learned reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts for CD processes.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    Oversee the preparation of project management tools, schedules, and stakeholder communication plans. Track progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Provide concise and accurate updates to project leadership and clients.
Key Skills and Attributes:

You will bring demonstrated expertise in Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, and CMAR project delivery, ensuring efficient and successful execution of complex projects. You will have exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills that foster collaboration and alignment across all parties. With strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, you will consistently deliver strategic solutions. Additionally, you are proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and similar software, enabling precise planning and control throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:
  • 15 years of experience in project management and within the water management sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 20 years of experience and a PMP, PE, certification or similar credentials (preferred).
  • Strong experience on alternative project delivery methods in the water management sector.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $131,023 - $222,739. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
