Key Responsibilities
Maintain an active physical security presence throughout the assigned supply chain environment to promote a safe working atmosphere.
Ensure compliance with company policies by validating the security measures of the building, including gates, doors, access control, and perimeter integrity.
Engage effectively with truck drivers, ensuring all inbound and outbound processes align with Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) standards.
Conduct regular safety and security audits utilizing handheld mobile devices to confirm adherence to protocols.
Perform patrols of both interior and exterior premises using company vehicles and on foot to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
Apply conflict resolution skills to de-escalate situations involving staff, visitors, and contractors professionally.
Respond swiftly and appropriately to incidents, accidents, and emergencies such as medical situations or fire alarms.
Work collaboratively with Supply Chain management and team members to uphold security procedures and policies.
Document and report any suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or security violations to management promptly.
Utilize a case management system to create thorough incident reports with accurate event details, individuals involved, and actions taken.
Monitor CCTV systems to oversee physical security and identify unauthorized activities.
Participate in monthly Safety Team meetings to stay updated on policies and safety-related issues.
Maintain required certifications and licenses as mandated by company standards.
Assist in legal proceedings when necessary, keeping case files organized and fostering relationships with local law enforcement.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent practical experience in lieu of formal education.
At least 1 year of experience in retail, security, first response, or military context.
1 year of experience in big-box retail, security, or military roles.
Valid Driver's License.
Security License is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Safety, or a related security field.
1 year of experience with detailed incident report writing.
1 year of experience conducting quality audits or reviews.
1 year experience with physical security systems, including CCTV and EAS.
First-Aid Certification.
Training in De-Escalation/Crisis Intervention techniques.
