Mortgage Field Services Inspector

FAR Inspections is seeking highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Independent contractors can earn predictable full?time or supplemental income with a flexible schedule. No prior mortgage inspection experience required; strong time?management and deadline?meeting skills are essential.

Location: Reno, NV. FAR Inspections has operated for over nine years in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Complete each inspection within 4 days of assignment.
• Verify property occupancy and report general condition using a mobile application.
• Take 9+ photos with brief comments.
• Finish a short form in the app.
• Spend extended periods driving within your county and making numerous stops.
• Most inspections are exterior only; 10% require interior photos if the property is vacant.

Requirements

• Computer with internet connection.
• Reliable vehicle with good gas mileage.
• Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
• Printer.
• Background check clearance using a valid drivers license.

Pay & Hours

This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate, ranging between $30 and $40 per hour depending on county and volume. You may complete anywhere from 20 to 500 inspections per month, working 230 hours per week. Pay increases with volume and territory coverage; no additional mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
