Director of Sales for the West is responsible for achieving sales targets and company's overall profitability objectives as it relates to the West Regional and National accounts. Supports and aids in fostering the business relationship at all levels of the organization. Serves as the business leader for current and future business opportunities. Responsible for new distribution, efficient promotions that maximize ROI, is the subject matter expert on Kroger, Albertsons, WinCo, HEB, SaveMart, Stater Bros., UNFI Independents, etc., and category trends in conjunction with competitive analysis, pricing, promotion, etc., and provides actionable information to VP of Retail Sales via sales reports, including planning, forecasting, strategy, and whitespace opportunities. This position is accountable for achieving the West P&L.
COMPENSATION: $180,000 - $220,000/Year DOE, Bonus Eligible
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and support our key account managers for the West. Work closely on directing all functional departments on the launch of new items, demand planning, promotional execution/negotiation, deduction management, product ideation, etc. Manage the broker on scheduling meetings and activities associated with club items (i.e. demos, MEI input, accrual management, etc.). Attend all buyer presentations to prepare and present the items to the regional buyers. Ongoing tasks include the following:
