About the Facility

Isuzu North America Corporation is investing approximately $280 million in a new 1 million-square-foot manufacturing facility in Greenville County, South Carolina. Located on more than 200 acres, this advanced facility will support a flexible production line capable of manufacturing both internal combustion and electric vehicles.

Production will include N-Series Gas, N-Series Electric, and F-Series Diesel trucks, with a targeted annual capacity of up to 50,000 units by 2030. Manufacturing operations are scheduled to begin in 2027, with further expansion planned in 2028.

Strategically positioned near I-85, I-26, and the Port of Charleston, the facility will centralize operations and logistics while creating more than 700 new jobs in the region.

What You Need

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in electrical, instrumentation, or automation preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with industrial control systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment

  • Hands-on experience with instrumentation, sensors, transmitters, actuators, VFDs, and HMIs

  • Familiarity with PLC-based control systems and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, etc.)

  • Ability to read and interpret control schematics, P&IDs, loop drawings, and wiring diagrams

  • Experience using CMMS systems and supporting preventive maintenance programs

  • Strong understanding of OSHA, NEC, and NFPA 70E safety standards

  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as multimeters and calibrators

  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and teamwork skills

  • Flexibility to support a two-shift operation, including overtime or off-shift work as required
What You Will Do

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate industrial control systems, including sensors, transmitters, actuators, and instrumentation

  • Install and maintain HMI panels, VFDs, and control cabinets supporting production equipment

  • Conduct functional testing of control loops, analog and digital I/O, and signal communications

  • Assist with PLC and HMI programming adjustments under engineering guidance

  • Monitor control system performance and support preventive and predictive maintenance activities

  • Read and interpret control schematics, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and technical documentation

  • Document system changes, calibration data, and parameter adjustments in the CMMS

  • Support new equipment installation, commissioning, loop checks, and system upgrades

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance teams to improve system reliability

  • Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and electrical safety standards

  • Provide troubleshooting support and technical guidance to operations and maintenance personnel

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support department and company objectives
