Job Position: CARES Line Agent

Location: Work from Home

Pay Rate: $21.00-23.00/hour (based on experience)

Training: M-F, 8 AM to 5 PM (on-site)

After Training Shift(s): Various times, Sunday-Saturday (24/7 operational hours)

Hello! We are on the look-out for a CARES Line Agent for one of our Managed Care partners. The CARES Line Agent helps assist callers on a crisis line connect with necessary supportive services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following):

  • Administration: Perform a variety of clerical functions, such as answering hotline calls, the expectation of 5 calls per hour, respond to providers, review case information, filing, posting and or logging information to manual or automated records.
  • Complete Acuity Assessment(s) to determine clinical appropriateness, collating and assembling documents; photocopying/faxing documents.
  • Type, assemble and distribute written materials such as forms, correspondence, reports and schedules in accordance with established procedures.
  • Operate a PC to view, enter, edit, format, revise, print, assemble and distribute written materials such as forms, correspondence, manuals, contracts, agreements, articles, charts, reports, schedules and other of similar complexity.
  • Manage full access to client information within HIPPA laws and regulations
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvements efforts of the agency.
  • Work effectively with diverse communities and constituencies.
  • Other duties as assigned in regard to other functions to the job at its discretion.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 % of the time.
  • Must constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Readily available to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range and at a distance.
  • Prioritization of work load, so that multiple deadlines can be met. Constant interruptions due to the multitude of responsibilities coupled with employees and managers seeking information.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Bachelor degree in human services or related field with 1 year prior experience in social services.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills in the English language. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
