Mechanical Estimator (HVAC)Location: Greenville, SCIndustry: Industrial & Commercial Construction / MEPWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator (HVAC) to support large-scale industrial and commercial construction projects. This role plays a critical part in the success of complex ground-up builds by delivering accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates that drive strategic bidding and project execution decisions.The ideal candidate has a strong background estimating mechanical systems for high-value projects and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced MEP environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to develop detailed mechanical cost estimates.Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate labor hours, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs for HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals for large industrial and commercial projects.Evaluate and price change orders, design revisions, and scope adjustments.Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers to refine estimates and support proposal strategy.Maintain and update cost databases, vendor pricing, and historical project data.Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and client presentations as needed.Project FocusGround-up construction projects including hospitals, schools, laboratories, and large institutional facilitiesTypical project values of $50M+Required QualificationsMinimum of 7 years of mechanical estimating experience within industrial, commercial, or MEP construction environments.Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction methods, and applicable industry standards.Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, Trimble, QuoteSoft, or similar tools.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Why This OpportunityJoin a well-established MEP organization with in-house design, installation, and fabrication capabilities.Work on marquee, high-profile projects that shape communities.Collaborate with experienced project and engineering teams in a growth-oriented environment.Long-term stability with opportunities to make a meaningful impact on major construction initiatives.Please send your resume to ...@selectek.net for consideration.
