Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/09/2026 Duration: 14 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • 36 or 48 hour guaranteed weekly schedule • Work every other weekend • Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 33-bed unit with average daily census of 28 • Care for adult to geriatric patient population • Medical Surgical/Remote Telemetry unit with diagnoses including diabetes, med/surg, post-op, wound vacs, and bariatrics • Required to float within rotation with regular staff • No call requirements • Holiday coverage required based on assignment period (work major holidays that fall during assignment) • Minimum 1 year experience required, first-time travelers accepted • BLS certification required • Epic charting system experience required • Must wear navy blue scrubs • Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed • Skills include IV insulin protocols, colostomy care, feeding tube management, blood product administration, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, chest tubes, and isolation precautions • Work with special equipment including Diligent lift equipment, spectra link phones, and space labs in every room • 24 hours of orientation required • Full compliance required to start on time with 2-week pushback if not compliant Facility: This healthcare facility features a comprehensive medical-surgical unit with remote telemetry capabilities, providing care for a diverse adult and geriatric patient population.
