As a Supplier Quality Engineer within our Manufacturing & Operations Practice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring supplier quality excellence across aerospace and manufacturing projects. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement robust quality management systems to enhance supplier performance.
Implementing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and guarantee the quality of supplier activities on aircraft assembly sites, providing data-driven insights to drive decision-making
Leading problem-solving initiatives and continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, and Lean Six Sigma to enhance the performance of supplier activities
Managing and controlling costs of cabin parts repairs through rigorous analysis and liability determination, collaborating with finance teams to ensure cost-effective solutions
Conducting comprehensive supplier evaluations, audits, and developing corrective action plans to address quality issues and prevent recurrence
Performing root cause analysis for complex quality issues related to supplier activities, implementing sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence
Supporting autonomous cross-collaboration within your team and across departments, promoting collective learning and development to drive quality excellence
Traveling to supplier sites and manufacturing facilities as needed to conduct audits, resolve issues, and build strong supplier relationships (travel required)
Minimum of five years of relevant experience in supplier quality management
Bachelors Degree in Engineering
US Citizen or Green Card holder or Permanent Resident
Experience in Aerospace manufacturing
Demonstrated expertise in quality management systems, tools, and methodologies including APQP, PPAP, 8D, and root cause analysis techniques
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify complex quality issues and develop effective solutions
Experience in implementing and tracking KPIs to measure supplier performance and drive continuous improvement
Excellent project management capabilities with proven success in leading cross-functional improvement initiatives
Financial acumen with skills in cost management, analysis, and reconciliation
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders including suppliers, engineering teams, and management
Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously while maintaining a results-oriented approach
