Forward Deployed Engineer

US (Hybrid + Travel) | Salary ~$200,000-$220,000 base + bonus + equity

They're a technical, fast-moving team solving some of the hardest problems in AI deployment: fine-tuning, data pipelines, and large-scale orchestration.

The Role

They're hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work directly with customers and deliver AI systems end-to-end. You'll move fast from prototype to production - building pipelines, fine-tuning models, and creating React-based interfaces that make these systems usable in the real world.

This role is equal parts engineering and client-facing: you'll embed with customers, design and ship solutions alongside them, and act as the face of the company on critical projects.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship production-grade AI systems with Python and React
• Turn demos into end-to-end solutions that customers can actually use
• Fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy LLMs in enterprise environments
• Design pipelines, retrieval frameworks, and integrations across cloud and on-prem
• Work side-by-side with client teams, from engineers to execs
• Capture best practices into reusable frameworks and playbooks

• Have 6+ years of experience in software engineering or applied ML
• Are fluent in Python + React, and comfortable across backend + frontend
• Have worked with modern AI/LLM frameworks (PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.)
• Can talk to both engineers and business leaders with equal confidence
• Enjoy working directly with customers - you're extroverted, consultative, and thrive in high-trust relationships
• Have shipped production systems in complex environments (cloud, hybrid, on-prem)
• Are open to regular client travel (25-75%)
