Stratus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer Lead - Tech Lead (Policy) to join our applications Development team. This role will lead the technical delivery of Duck Creek Policy implementations and upgrades, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, timely, and efficient solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Duck Creek Policy Implementation, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in managing complex technical projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of Duck Creek Policy implementations and upgrades, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations.
• Provide technical leadership to a mid-size team of developers, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and best practices.
• Develop and maintain upgrade roadmaps, schedules, and resource plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during development and upgrade phases.
• Guide the team in scoping, estimating, and delivering high-quality solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing and competency building within the team.
• Capable of providing Production Support and mentoring junior developers in effectively identifying, analyzing, and resolving production issues.

• Strong background in Duck Creek and has worked in a platform upgrade, a deep understanding of upgrade processes, and experience with troubleshooting complex issues.
• Strong hands-on experience with Duck Creek Policy 7.x configuration and extension.
• Proficient in Manuscript-based configuration using EXAMPLE Author.
• Skilled in debugging tools: Data Tester, TSV, Trace Monitor, SQL Profiler, .NET Debugger, XSL Debugging.
• Experience with XSL configuration and database development (SPs, views, functions, tables).
• Experience working in Express 3 and cloud-based environments.
• Work closely with QA teams to design and execute testing procedures for upgraded systems, verifying functionality, security, and compatibility.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues that arise during upgrade testing phases.

• Proven experience leading platform upgrades and managing associated risks.
• Ability to monitor system performance and resolve post-upgrade issues.
• Experience with 3rd-party integrations and internal collections systems.

• Proficient in SQL, .NET, C#, JavaScript, XSLT, and environment configurations.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and deployment models.
• Experience with pre/post event frameworks and defect triaging.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to mentor and guide technical teams.
• Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

• 7-10 years of experience in Duck Creek Policy implementations.
• Familiarity with Duck Creek Insights/Clarity is desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
