Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our Central States Funds ServiceNow team. The ServiceNow Developer is primarily responsible for designing, developing, and customizing applications on the ServiceNow platform to support IT Service Management (ITSM) processes. This role also offers opportunities to work with and gain exposure to other ServiceNow capabilities, including Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), CMDB implementation and governance, Contract Management Pro/Source-to-Pay, Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD), and Workplace Service Delivery (WSD).
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on configuration and customization of the ServiceNow platform to support ITSM processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management.
- Configure and enhance Service Catalog, workflows, and automation to improve service delivery and user experience.
- Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise applications using APIs, web services, and connectors.
- Write and document clean, efficient, and maintainable code using JavaScript, Glide API, and related technologies.
- Administer multiple ServiceNow instances, including access control, workflow automation, data integrity, and system upgrades.
- Collaborate with CTS teams, business stakeholders, and project managers to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, workflows, and customizations.
- Stay current with ServiceNow releases, features, and industry trends to recommend and implement platform enhancements.
QualificationsQualifications While the primary focus is ITSM, this role provides exposure to and potential involvement in:
- Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM): Supporting demand, project, and portfolio management initiatives.
- CMDB Implementation & Governance: Ensuring accurate configuration data and relationships for improved service visibility.
- Contract Management Pro / Source-to-Pay: Streamlining vendor and procurement workflows.
- HR Service Delivery (HRSD): Enhancing employee experience through automated HR processes. Workplace Service Delivery (WSD): Improving workplace operations and facilities management.
Essential Skills, Characteristics & Experience - Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer/Administrator, with strong ITSM expertise.
- ServiceNow certifications such as Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified System Administrator (CSA), or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM or other modules.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow configuration, scripting, workflow automation, and integrations.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices; ITIL v4 certification is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
CompensationAnnual Salary Range: $110,000 to $125,000 (The posted range of pay represents the anticipated pay scale for this position. Final pay will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including, but not limited to, skills, experience, education, certifications, internal equity, and organizational needs.)
