Position Overview
As an Enterprise Architect for State & Local Public Sector industry, you will be instrumental in crafting a winning technical solution that tightly aligns with our client's desired outcomes, industry best practices, Client cloud portfolio offerings and emerging innovative technologies.
As a key member of the client engagement team, you will be principally responsible for developing, architecting, and presenting business / technical solutions and roadmaps that meet client needs and deliver outcomes along their cloud journeys and digital transformations.
You will be part of a high-performance team of client engagement professionals that work together in designing and selling solutions and delivering revenue growth results. You will participate in the full solution and roadmap development cycle, while interacting closely with client management to hone our solution and messaging to the prospective state and local client.
As an Enterprise Architect in Client, you will be responsible for scoping, proposing, designing, on-prem, hybrid, and Multicloud solutions to meet State and Local government client's technological and business requirements. As a technical leader in Client, you play a critical role in advancing the overall technology strategy, continuing the sales momentum of opportunities, presenting solutions, architectural standards, migrations, and integrations of cloud technologies to ensure the successful acceptance and sale to our State and Local clients and prospects. Your expertise in ITO, cloud computing, cloud architecture, strategic thinking and solutioning will be essential in driving value to the State & Local clients. You'll continually be learning about new technologies and looking to the future for why, and how our clients or prospects should be adopting them for value realization.

Client Relationship Management

• Builds 'client for life' relationships by successfully leveraging Client entire portfolio to deliver breakthrough results for his/her clients.
• Becomes a trusted advisor to clients by building solid professional relationships with members of senior level management.

Cloud Solution Development and Articulation:

• Collaborate with Client stakeholders to understand business needs, goals, and objectives.
• Define the organization's cloud strategy and roadmap, aligning it with business strategies.
• Identify opportunities to leverage cloud services for improved efficiency, agility, and cost savings.
• Recommend suitable cloud platforms, services, and deployment models.

Cloud Solution Design and presentation

• Architect and design cloud-based solutions that align with business and technical requirements.
• Develop scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.
• Evaluate and select appropriate cloud technologies, frameworks, and tools.
• Design data integrations and connectivity between cloud and on-premises systems.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.

Cloud Security Solution Design and Compliance:

• Develop and present cloud security strategies, policies, and solutions.
• Ensure solution compliance with industry regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or
• Stay current with evolving security threats and implement appropriate security measures.

Cloud Integration and Migration:

• Assess client environment and systems and develop strategies for migrating and/ or transformation to the cloud.
• Plan and present the seamless integration of platforms and architectures with cloud-based solutions.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with Client business and technical teams as well as internal Client cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership on cloud architecture and best practices.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and knowledge sharing on cloud technologies.
• Build and maintain relationships with cloud service providers and technology vendors.

Required Skills and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relative area of study or equivalent work experience and certifications
• 12+ years' experience working as an architect in designing, developing, and delivering technology solutions for state and local clients
• Strong alliance to Google, AWS, Azure, and other progressive cloud/container vendors is a requirement.
• Understand, message and solution Cloud transformations as part of sales pursuits.
• Demonstrated experience in design patterns, architecture best practices, cost optimizations, delivering purpose-built solutions
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing on-prem, hybrid, and Multicloud solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud IaaS and PaaS.
• Proficiency in cloud architecture design principles and best practices.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure components in the cloud.
• Experience in preparing cost estimation for cloud solutions.
• Experience with cloud migration strategies and tools.
• Knowledge of networking technologies and cloud networking
• Demonstrates strong knowledge across a wide range of services and solutions.
• Understands CXO issues and solution alternatives and is comfortable interacting with them individually or as a part of a broader sales team.
• Expert in emerging solutions, roadmap, and the business applications of technology.
• Recognized thought leadership both internally and externally.
• Expert knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of competitor products and services portfolio.
• Recognized industry expertise and experience.

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, information technology or related field is a plus
• General Certifications - TOGAF, ITIL, PMP, SAFe Agile
• Cloud Certifications - AWS Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Network Specialty, Azure Architect, GCP Cloud Architect
