Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Clean, disassemble and inspect used pumps and sub-assemblies and prepare related reports.
Make minor repairs to worn parts as necessary.
Rebuild used pumps and sub-assemblies to Sulzer specifications.
Perform all in-process quality inspections as described in the quality plans and work instructions
Maintain short thru-put time for re-builds / repairs.
Visit regional customers to promote rebuild program and to pickup and deliver assemblies as necessary.
Maintain inventory of components and assemblies associated with re-build program.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
High School Diploma/ GED required, related two-year technical degree preferred;
Minimum five-years experience in all aspects of the assembly of centrifugal process pumps required;
Two-years welding and/or manual machining experience preferred;
Ability to read blueprints with both English and Metric dimensioning required;
Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills;
Good written and oral communication skills;
Computer skills: Microsoft Office products
