Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications willnot be considered.

A full-semester opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to serve a high school classroom in Inman, SC. This role involves working closely with a small, focused group of 12 students alongside one teacher assistant within a supportive learning environment. The contract spans the remainder of the school year and requires dedication to fostering student growth and adapting instructional methods to meet diverse educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the individual needs of students with disabilities
• Collaborate with the teacher assistant to implement educational plans effectively
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to promote academic success
• Maintain compliance with state and school district policies and regulations
• Support social and emotional development through inclusive practices and positive behavior interventions

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid South Carolina Special Education Teaching Certification is required
• Experience in a special education classroom, preferably in a high school setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, staff, and families
• Ability to create engaging and supportive learning environments for diverse learners
