Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-semester opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students in a focused classroom setting. This contract position involves working with an ID1 classroom consisting of 12 students and one teacher assistant, providing a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

Location: Spartanburg, SC
Setting: High School
Duration: Full semester, full-time for the remainder of the school year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with disabilities
  • Collaborate with the teacher assistant to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
  • Communicate regularly with parents and staff to support student success

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must hold a valid South Carolina Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience teaching high school students with special education needs preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team setting
