Opsource has partnered with a Tool & Stamping company who provides stampings for the Automotive, Medical, Electronics, and Military Industries.

Shift for the position:

• 1st 6am-2:30pm

Pay for the position:

• $18.00 and up DOE

A Manual Machinist job involves using manual machines like lathes, mills, and grinders to craft precise metal or plastic parts from blueprints , requiring skills in setup, operation, calibration, and measurement (micrometers, calipers), plus strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and understanding of materials to meet strict tolerances, often involving routine maintenance and teamwork in manufacturing settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and understand complex technical drawings, schematics, and CAD files.
• Machine Setup & Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate manual tools (lathes, milling machines, grinders) to cut, shape, and finish parts.
• Precision & Measurement: Use precision instruments (calipers, micrometers) to measure and verify parts meet exact specifications and tolerances.
• Tooling & Fixturing: Select, mount, and align appropriate cutting tools, attachments, and fixtures.
• Quality Control: Inspect completed units for defects and ensure conformance to quality standards.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in manual machining processes (turning, facing, threading, grinding) and knowledge of various materials.
• Tools: Expertise with manual machine tools and precision measuring devices.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, attention to detail, teamwork, and communication.
• Education: Vocational training or equivalent experience in machine technology preferred.

Work Environment

• Typically in manufacturing plants or workshops.
• Can be fast-paced and requires adherence to safety protocols.
