Main Missions:

• Defines the optimum raw material for the projects
• Solves material problems and contribute to paint and glue problems encountered during the project and production

Responsibilities:

For projects in quotation and development:

• Defines the technical criteria to choose the raw material, based on customer specifications and purchasing
• Works closely with the raw material purchasing department to ensure the optimum technical choice of raw material is proposed to the project
• Proposes a risk removal and validation plan to the project
• Recommends the raw material to the project, based on validation results
• Proposes technical solutions, in the event of non-conformity, to reach the customer requirements
• Keeps regular contacts with customers and suppliers to understand and orientate the qualification of the raw material

For productivity project and production:

• Proposes alternative raw material solutions to reduce costs and / or improved quality of the products
• Assists production plants in the event of problems linked to raw material during serial life

Suppliers follow up:

• Leads supplier's development policy in order to meet customer requirements on current and future projects

Desired Profile:

Master degree in materials engineering

Fluent in English

Knowledge of plastic materials

3-4 years significant experience in the field of polymers

Knowledge on polymer formulation & testing
