Job Summary
The Tropical Grille Assistant General Managerperforms various functions to effectively manage both the human and materialresources of their restaurant to achieve company goals. They must possess apositive attitude, have strong attention to detail, be honest and reliable,always maintain a professional demeanor, be guest focused, have excellentcommunication skills with a passion to lead.
Major Tasks, Dutiesand Responsibilities Include:
• Coordinate daily Frontof House and Back of House restaurant operations.
• Lead your team tosuccess.
• Deliver superiorservice and maximize customer satisfaction.
• Respond efficientlyand accurately to customer complaints.
• Regularly reviewproduct quality.
• Organize and superviseshifts and stay at prescribed labor budgets.
• Evaluate staffperformance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
• Conduct staffevaluations on time and completely.
• Estimate future needsfor goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products.
• Ensure compliance withsanitation and safety regulations. (DHEC)
• Manage restaurant'sgood image and suggest ways to improve it.
• Control operationalcosts and identify measures to cut waste.
• Create detailedreports weekly and conduct daily store audits.
• Promote the brand inthe local community through word-of-mouth and events.
• Train new and currentemployees on proper customer service practices.
• Manage labor
• Ability to delegatetasks
• Recruit, select andhire best candidates for open positions in the restaurant
• Provide counseling toall employees in written and verbal forms, as well as disciplinary actions inaccordance with company policies and procedures
• Develop and superviseschedules of team members. Ensure shifts are adequately staffed
Requirements
• Ability to work 50hours a week
• Reliabletransportation.
• 3 Strong Supervisoryreferences will be required.
• A minimum of 3 yearsproven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager orHospitality Manager.
• Strong food andbeverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredientsand dishes to inform customers and front staff
• Familiarity withrestaurant management software, like MobileBytes, Heartland Restaurant andothers.
• Strong leadership,motivational and people skills.
• Time management skills
• Acute financialmanagement skills
• AS degree in BusinessAdministration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand andwalk for extended periods of time
• Ability tooccasionally sit, balance, reach with hands and arms, climb, crawl kneel, stoopand or crouch
• Ability to lift itemsof up to 50 pounds
