Join our dynamic team as a Power Distribution Design Engineer, where you will be responsible for creating innovative designs for utility systems. This role involves an exciting mix of overhead and underground circuit designs for joint use, street lighting, and developments across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors, along with gas and generation systems. You will also play a crucial role in field data collection and assist with storm restoration efforts when necessary.

What you need:
Work Environment:
This role requires a blend of office and field work. You will gather desktop data and engage in field visits to measure, photograph, and interact with stakeholders on project conditions, gaining insights into field operations. Our office environment is typically quiet to moderate; however, fieldwork may involve exposure to various levels of noise, especially in active construction zones.
You will be equipped with necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats and safety vests. It is essential to have appropriate protective footwear and attire for tasks performed outside.
Physical Demands:
This position involves a mix of sedentary office work and active field-related movement. You will frequently use your hands for drafting, report writing, and operating computers, as well as handling tools during field work.
Occasionally, you may need to lift or move items weighing up to 35 lbs.
Strong visual skills are necessary for reading engineering plans and blueprints, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities are crucial for effective collaboration with team members.
