The Mechanical Engineer will apply core mechanical engineering principles to address manufacturing issues related to hot gas path hardware in gas turbines.
This role involves analyzing and resolving deviations, supporting design improvements, and collaborating across functions to ensure manufacturability, quality, and reliability of turbine components.
Responsibilities:

Utilize analytical tools to assess and resolve hardware deviations while implementing preventative design solutions.
Lead redesign efforts by revising drawings to enhance manufacturability and product reliability.
Serve as the technical focal point for process qualifications, changes, and supplier second-source activities.
Conduct technical reviews of design tasks, assessing risks at the component, assembly, and system levels.
Follow standard work practices and design templates; contribute to continuous improvement of design and manufacturing processes.
Ensure compliance with technical standards and design quality requirements.

Support a collaborative work environment focused on quality, efficiency, and teamwork with supply chain partners.
Requirement/Must Have:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience.
Should Have / Nice to Have:
Experience in mechanical engineering design for gas turbine hardware or similar rotating machinery (especially hot gas path components).
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, methods, materials, and coatings.
Experience with non-conformance dispositioning and engineering assessments for deviating hardware.
Familiarity with engineering software such as Ansys and NX.
Strong knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials.
