OpSource Direct has partnered with a company in Greenville, SC specializing in racking systems for warehouses and distribution centers.

Pay: $30 - $35/hr.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibility will be maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial equipment and machinery within the facility. The ideal candidate will ensure safe and efficient operations in our continuous production facilities.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on roll forming mills, punch presses, coil handling equipment, fiber lasers, millng machines, wire EDM machines, robot cells (ABB), press brakes, paint line/ conveyor, powder coating, and hydraulic & pneumatic systems. Ability to complete work orders, including time and labor within a CMMS system.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on equipment using diagnostic tools.
  • Execute preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and lifespan; follow scheduled routines and document tasks. Must be able to work within a TPM environment.
  • Assist with setup, calibration, and adjustment of machinery to meet production specifications and safety standards. Must have competency in LOTO, 70E, and fall protection when required.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and best practices, report and address safety hazards or non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance; prepare and update logs and reports.
  • Work closely with production staff to address equipment performance issues and provide technical support.
  • Collaborate with maintenance team members to share knowledge and enhance overall best maintenance practices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting and implementing process improvements and new maintenance techniques.
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING
  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of industrial experience and education.
  • Technical training in an accredited technical school or equivalent, with certification in one or more of the following industrial math, industrial electrical, or instrumentation strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience with single and three phase voltages from 24 - 480 Volts.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, along with PLC logic.
  • Strong knowledge of welding operation
  • Adhere to EP safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge in the installation, maintenance, and repairs of common mechanical systems found in an industrial manufacturing facility that requires instrumentation.
  • Ability to read and understand labels, blueprints, schematics, job site maps/directions, instruction manuals, and/or written instructions accurately.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity. Noise levels may be loud at times. Safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes are required while on the shop floor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds at a time.
