Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Admissions, the Admissions Counselor is responsible for promoting the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities in an assigned territory through presentations in schools and community organizations, as well as participation in festivals and conferences throughout the state. The Admissions Counselor assists the Assistant Director of Admissions with the management of assigned data and contacts in the application system. The Admissions Counselor will serve as the first line of communication between prospective students/families and the school. Schedule and attend schools in an assigned territory, along with community organizations, summer camps presentations. Process application materials, assist families with the application process, communicate with prospective students and families throughout the application season. Maintain student data through the school's application system. Attend conferences and festivals as assigned. Support Admissions communications and events as required. Other duties as assigned.

A bachelor's degree preferably in admissions programs, education, school marketing, public relations, or a related field. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants indicating college credit or degree(s) on the application will be required to bring a copy of college transcript to the interview. A copy of the transcript may also be uploaded as an attachment to the application, if required by the hiring department or if desired by the applicant.
