Inventory Control Associate

Description:

The purpose of the Inventory Control Associate position is to service all aspects associated with the daily functional inventory control in the distribution center or warehouse; including moves, cycle counts, helping both inbound and outbound associates, processing damages and all discrepancy reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Cycle Counts 
  • Process Damages 
  • Report all Inbound Discrepancies to the Inventory Control Supervisor or Manager
  • ⁠Assist Operators with Any and All Discrepancies and System Issues 
  • Prepare for and Assist with Annual Physical Inventory 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn SAP  
  • Knowledge or ability to learn HighJump Warehouse Advantage system and/or customer operating systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and 365)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to handle reoccurring problems
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to multi-task. 
  • Ability to perform work in a highly detailed and color-coded manner
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Ability to read labels and numbers
  • Ability to operate in high speed and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Ability to follow instructions as directed by the supervisor

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of previous warehouse administrative experience
  • Forklift experience, preferred
  • Leadership experience, a plus
  • WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) system experience, a plus
  • Prior RF Unit experience, a plus
