Import Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Import Specialist to join our logistics team. In this role, you will oversee the management of imports, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and the timely clearance of goods through customs. Your proficiency in import documentation and customs procedures will be crucial in facilitating smooth international logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process import documentation, ensuring all paperwork meets regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government agencies to facilitate timely customs clearance.
• Maintain accurate records of import transactions and ensure proper duty and tax payments are made.
• Monitor shipments to ensure compliance with import regulations and resolve any issues that arise during the import process.
• Communicate with vendors, shippers, and internal stakeholders regarding shipment statuses and regulatory requirements.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in international trade regulations and compliance requirements.
• Provide reporting and analysis on import activities, identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements.
