Job Title: Bellman / Valet (PM Shift)

Department: Front Office
Location: The Westin Poinsett Greenville
Reports To: Front Office Manager / Bell Captain
FLSA Status: Hourly / Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The Bellman/Valet plays a key role in creating exceptional first and last impressions for guests at The Westin Poinsett Greenville. This position is responsible for greeting guests, assisting with luggage, parking and retrieving vehicles, and providing courteous, efficient, and professional service in accordance with Westin and Marriott brand standards.

Essential Job Functions

  • Greet guests promptly and professionally upon arrival and departure
  • Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely manner
  • Assist guests with luggage to and from guest rooms
  • Escort guests to rooms and explain hotel features and amenities
  • Open doors and provide a welcoming presence at hotel entrances
  • Maintain accurate valet logs and vehicle keys
  • Provide directions, local recommendations, and general guest assistance
  • Communicate effectively with Front Desk, Concierge, and Leadership
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
  • Adhere to all hotel policies, safety procedures, and brand standards

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous hotel, valet, or customer service experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required)
  • Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Strong communication and guest service skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor required

Schedule Requirements (Required)
  • Must be able to work 3:00pm - 11:00pm
  • Rotating days, including weekends and holidays
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver luggage up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb stairs as needed
