The Patient Services Representative will serve as the main point of contact for all patients and the community. This position will receive and process patient referrals, patient registration, verify demographics, obtain insurance cards and identification, and update medical records accurately and efficiently. In addition, the Patient Services Representative's responsibilities include scheduling appointments, transcribing orders, explaining financial options to patients, and updating medical records accurately and efficiently.
High School Degree or GED (required) Associates Degree in Healthcare or related field (preferred)
Knowledge of medical billing procedures (required) Medical office software experience (required) Knowledge of medical terminology and basic knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding (preferred) Prior medical office experience (preferred)
Possesses problem-solving skills, basic computer skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner Basic math skills
