Job Description
Do you thrive in an international environment where we design and build complex and challenging capital projects for our clients? We are looking for an accomplished Engineering/Design Manager for current projects in the Data Center market. In this position, you will lead a multidisciplinary team in the design and development of data center facilities and infrastructure systems from concept/schematic design through construction documentation. You will collaborate with client stakeholders to align on facility needs such as capacity planning, site layout, facility operations, etc. You will lead the engineering effort on assigned projects and are responsible for coordinating the individual Engineering Discipline Leads such that the most cost-effective total project solution for executing engineering work is achieved. Specific responsibilities include:
Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and twenty (20) years of work-related experience
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Other Job Requirements
Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials
Project set-up, developing control-level schedules, progress reporting and project close-out
Practical field experience
Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting
Data Center Engineering Procurement Construction Experience
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, such as FDA guidelines, ISO standards, and other relevant regulations, throughout the design process.
Establish and maintain client's quality processes and procedures to ensure the delivery of safe and effective products.
Lead risk management activities: risk assessment, risk analysis, and risk mitigation strategies
Translate global strategic initiatives into procedures to be implemented on projects
Conduct design reviews, identify risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines, budgets and quality standards
Stay updated on the latest advancements, emerging technologies, and industry best practices related to life sciences engineering design
Provide technical guidance and support to the team in resolving complex design challenges
