Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer IV

Job Description

• Must be able to handle export controlled material.
• MUST BE A US PERSON THAT CAN VIEW EXPORT CONTROLLED MATERIAL.
• Must have availability to be flexible with working hours given this is a global team.
• Open to viewing candidates with 4-5 years of experience.

• Temporary Workload Increase

• Build 2D and 3D finite element models of turbine components.
• Run thermal, structural, modal, or forced response analysis with thermal and mechanical loads followed by lifing (LCF, HCF, creep, oxidation, fracture mechanics).
• Postprocess modal results (frequency/Campbell diagram creation).
• Present in Design Reviews.
• Focus and work in PowerPoint, review 2D & 3D models.
• Support root cause analysis (RCA) work.

• MUST BE A US PERSON THAT CAN VIEW EXPORT CONTROLLED MATERIAL.
• At least 4 years of engineering design experience in gas turbine engines.
• Prior experience supporting or leading root cause analyses (RCA).
• Classic Ansys/mechanical design experience (2 years).
• UG/NX experience (2 years).
• Knowledge of GD&T standards, and how to interpret engineering drawings, perform stackups, etc.
• Experience using PLM or Teamcenter configuration management tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Customer satisfaction mindset, ability to work well in a team environment with a positive “can do” attitude.

• Required: Bachelors of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or other relevant engineering discipline.
• Desired: Masters of Science in Engineering.
