Tropical Grille Simpsonville is looking for a part time or full time shift lead. Shift leads help manage the store by opening or closing the restaurant, monitoring staff, handling cash, and ensuring great customer service for our guests. We are looking for a responsible, reliable, and friendly person who likes to stay busy, has good attention to detail, and likes to interact with people. Job description below!

JobTitle: Shift Leader

Direct contact and resource for all store team members onlead shifts. Reports directly to Assistant General Manager and General Manager.

Responsibilities
• WeeklyScheduling
• Responsiblefor finding coverage for callouts
• Responsiblefor assigning positions to team members and clearly outlining responsibilitiesto maximize efficiency
• Responsiblefor scheduling and assigning catering drivers for deliveries on each closingshift for following day's opening manager.
• Responsiblefor actively managing cost of labor to maximize store coverage andprofitability
• PolicyAdherence

o ShiftLeader is responsible for adherence by staff to establish guidelines andprocedures including, but not limited to:

§ Proper food-handling and cool-downprocedures

§ Appearance and dress code

§ Customer service

§ Food quality

§ Recipe adherence

§ Staff safety

§ Shift audit completion

§ Proper closing and opening procedures
• FoodCost Management

o ShiftLeader is responsible for managing food cost concerns including, but notlimited to:

§ Food waste

§ Portion control

§ Order accuracy

§ Upselling at POS

§ Credits and refunds
• Environment

o ShiftLeader is responsible for managing and facilitating a work and diningenvironment consistent with Tropical Grille, including, but not limited to

§ Cleanliness

§ Staff morale

§ Music

§ Staff language and behavior

§ Guest experience

§ Customer service
• Expectations

o ShiftLeader is expected to communicate often with Store Management Team.

o ShiftLeader is expected to be proactive in facilitating and encouraging staffcommunication

o ShiftLeader is expected to be proactive in addressing all concerns involvingscheduling, positional training, hiring, policy adherence, food costmanagement, and environment to Store Management Team.
